Maia Faith's "A Seat at the Table" mural design was selected to be displayed on the wall in UCLA's new Black Resource Center representing the theme of Black History at UCLA. This design features several figures from Black Bruin history alongside a few current students. The flow of the tapestry as well as the integration of the newer Bruins who have yet to make their mark signifies the continuity and an interaction between, rather than a separation of, past and present. Those who came before set a precedent, letting us know that we can achieve at high levels and continue on to be history makers ourselves.
